What Is The Minimum Viable Product?

A minimum viable product is a version of your product with just enough core features to launch it and be accepted by your target market.

The idea here is to avoid working on too many product features that are both money and time consuming and that, in the end, might not be all that relevant to your target market.

This is also a strategy for companies to gather feedback and improve the second generation of the product.

If after the launch people use it and give their feedback on what works, what doesn’t, what needs to be added or removed, you go ahead and take that feedback and consider it strongly for the next generation of your device.

The minimum viable product idea can be applied to any product, whether they’re hardware-centric or not.
